Vienna is the capital and largest city of Austria, with just over 2 milion residents. Widely recognized as the “City of Music” due to its rich classical music heritage, it was home to renowned composers like Mozart, Beethoven, and Johann Strauss. Vienna boasts a stunning historic city center filled with Baroque architecture and grand buildings along the Ringstraße, a late 19th century boulevard. Notable landmarks include Schönbrunn Palace, St. Stephen’s Cathedral, the State Opera house, Hofburg Palace, and Belvedere Palace. Vienna is known for its coffee and the Sachertorte, a famous Viennese chocolate cake invented in 1832 for Prince Metternich. Vienna is considered by many to be one of the most livable cities in the world based on its high quality of life and cultural vibrancy.
